- The "people helping people" philosophy of the credit union movement was a natural fit for our service. We're educators by trade, not salespeople - hence the name Auto Advisors.
- Credit unions have a similar goal in mind for their members: providing education for members to be more financially savvy consumers.
- Our service is the type of tool that credit unions believe adds value to the membership because it saves the member money.
- Credit unions choose to offer our service as a free benefit to their membership. The service is paid through a transactional fee by the auto dealer which is not determined by the profit on the sale. It is not added to the price of the car and does not impact the sale in any way.
- Credit unions want members to look to the credit union as their primary financial institution and see the benefit of using a variety of value-add services that support better financial decisions and long term financial growth.
Plus, we knew that auto dealers would pay our company to bring them qualified, prepared-to-purchase customers. After all, they were already spending thousands of dollars in advertising with the hopes of simply attracting prospective customers. The customers we brought them had already decided to buy the vehicle the dealer was offering. We negotiate great prices, fair trade-ins, and we eliminate the hidden ways in which car dealers typically generate thousands in profit per sale, like financing. They are able to move a car off the lot without the usual time spent to "sell" it. It's a win win for everyone.
If you're not a credit union member, you can be!
Many credit unions have open memberships to anyone that lives or works in a community. If you're not a member of a credit union, email us to find out more about credit union membership.
